If you have been keeping up with our on-line services you will realize that we are looking closely at John the Baptist as we prepare for the Christmas Celebration. You can’t really get to Christmas without going past John. Mark’s Gospel presents him as a preparer of the way. That preparation requires confession and repentance. John’s Gospel, presents him, as "a witness to testify to the light." He is not the light, not even a revealer of the light. He is a witness to the light, the light that comes into the world as Jesus Christ.
