Trusting God At All Times Daily Devotional. Gene Carter was a special friend. Our relationship began with him as my District Superintendent, The role of DS has changed since then, but 30 years ago that made Gene my supervisor. He saw in me things I did not see for myself - good things, ministry things, and he took me under his wing. A few years later, when our daughter was born, Gene traveled from Roanoke to Richmond to baptize her and now that he is gone, that remains one of the most special experiences of the ministry we shared together.
