Grace and peace to you, welcome to Sunday morning worship for November 13, 2022. I’m Rev. Joe Cailles, the pastor at Peakland United Methodist Church in Lynchburg Virginia.
The day after Halloween last week, I saw that the stores had pulled down the costumes and Halloween decorations and were already putting out the Christmas and winter decorations. I don’t have a problem with that at all. I enjoy the Advent and Christmas seasons with the music and lights and the reminder that God’s love is born in Jesus Christ.
In our scripture passage from Isaiah today, the prophet reminds us of God’s love even when life is hard and tedious and messy.
