Wesley Wednesday: United Methodist Beliefs, Week 4 Podcast Edition

Today I begin by saying that I am proud to be a United Methodist. I am committed to our beliefs, doctrines, and practice of ministry. I have no desire whatsoever to consider leaving the denomination I love and have been privileged to serve since 1978.
Over the past few weeks I have shared some of the basic Christian beliefs which are the foundation of the United Methodist Church. Part three of the Book of Discipline of the United Methodist Church contains the Doctrinal Standards and our Theological Task. This along with the section entitled “A Brief History of the United Methodist Church” are central in understanding who we are as United Methodist. In my opinion these 100 pages should be required reading for each of us.
