PUMC Nursery

Grace and peace to you! I’m Joe Cailles, the pastor here at Peakland UMC. I am so pleased to share with you this newly renovated infant and childcare room here at Peakland. I gather this room had been the childcare room in years past. When I arrived here at Peakland a year ago, we were using this space as a backup kitchen and storage room during the great kitchen renovation. During the academic year our Peakland Pre-school will use this space for their one-year-old classroom. During Sundays, beginning now, the church will use it for childcare during the worship services. This room will be open during all three Sunday morning worship services at 8:30, 9:45 and 11:00 and available for children up to age 5. Our Sunday morning childcare person is Hannah. HANNAH: Hi! I’m Hannah Ness. I’ll be a sophomore at Central Virginia Community College this fall. I have two younger siblings, and I love working with children. Hanah is here every Sunday morning, and she’ll be working with a church staff person or volunteer, so that we always have two adults in the room with your children. It’s not at all necessary, but if you’d like to let us at the church know ahead of time that you’ll be coming on Sunday and will need childcare, please do so.
